I can't quite put my finger on the reason that this week has been so overwhelming,
but it definitely has been one for the record books.
So, in an attempt to get a grip on my crazy life I wrote my list of To Do's.
It is long.
Then I wrote my list of goals.
It is longer.
One life lesson that I've learned more than any other is,
"Take it a day at a time. Don't jump ahead of yourself."
(ahem! to the people playing Christmas music the day after Halloween)
So, I've tried to prioritize the most important things first,
Like the good ol' visual of putting rocks, pebbles and sand in a jar.
If you put the small things in first, there's no room for the bigger things of substance.
(I should talk, I'm writing a blog at 11:06 pm with Typography hanging over my head...I'm learning, ok?)
Doing all the important things has been wonderfully fulfilling,
and yet I still feel a little out of balance.
Like, "Yes, I did my homework, but I didn't get my work out in."
So, here's a list of IOU's for after the week's priorities are completed:
I owe Heather and Joseph a visit to their new house.I owe my vocal music a great practice session.I owe my body a Jillian-style workout.I owe my clean laundry some time in the closet where it actually belongs.I owe my stomach a Golden Delicious apple (yum!).I owe my toenails a new coat of nail polish.I owe my eyes a cat nap.I owe you all a fantastic post (I'll be thinking).
And while this could go on forever (really, it could)...
I've got a late night date with Typography
and I owe myself a good grade.
